OUR STORY

Beautiful Calf Productions (BCP) is a boutique marketing agency with an international film and TV division. BCP has developed several films that have sold out globally. We apply the same techniques to marketing as we do film.

While working for Netflix, our founder and president Jayne Belliveau, suggested they stream indie films, because she didn’t have access to them growing up in small town Canada. A few years later a mechanic friend of hers in that same town suggested she watch this weird little film on Netflix. Today, at BCP we deepen market penetration by matching diverse SMEs with our global entertainment assets.

Our broad and deep experience working with Netflix, large media funds, GM, McCann World, Coca Cola, Denny’s Restaurants and global SMEs is the foundation we leverage to create the cultural dialogue that drives your KPIs. Our innovative story lens

connects your brand on every level to reach every stream of the market.  We give you access to markets you didn’t even know you needed to be in.

BCP creative teams located around the world allow us to capture global trends and markets as they emerge. Each campaign is uniquely built to reflect the most differentiated qualities of your brand.  We build everything custom: websites, graphics, even sounds.

Our AI technology listens to what customers are saying, monitors our client’s competition and finds the local influencers who find the next ten local influencers. Who then tell the next ten. This insight provides clients with the expertise to access diverse local markets creating a fresh consumer base. Making it more difficult for competitors to attack your market share today and years from now. At Beautiful Calf Productions (BCP) we believe everyone should be part of the cultural dialogue.

Jayne Belliveau

FOUNDER AND CEO

During her undergraduate degree at Dalhousie University, Jayne was approached by two separate professors who noticed her gift for putting contrasting ideas together.

Upon graduation, Jayne travelled to Germany and began working in finance at German media fund, VIF, where the team managed a $100 million yearly budget. While serving as Executive Assistant to the CEO, she championed a script that later went on to sell out globally (“Love the Hard Way” starring Adrien Brody screened at the Sundance, Berlin and Locarno film festivals. It was also nominated for the top German producing award). She eventually managed the production on location in New York and Berlin.

Jayne received her Master of Fine Arts at UCLA, where she studied screenwriting, directing, and animation. She was mentored by Oscar-nominated writer, Meg LeFauve (“Inside Out”), Jody Foster’s head of production before embarking on a screenwriting career. One of Jayne's screenplays, “The Briefcase”, received seven-digit offers and interest from a major US studio. She wrote a screenplay that was a finalist at the Sundance Screenwriters’ Lab.

Instead of taking the easy path of accepting a job from a top CEO in LA, she chose the more genuine, but longer path. Jayne returned home to New Brunswick because she wanted to tell authentic stories through the lens of her Atlantic Canadian culture. While working as a consultant for Netflix, she suggested that they consider introducing independent films to rural communities — films that typically wouldn’t have unique content access. Childhood experiences and lack of access to interesting edgy content is often sadly overlooked. Netflix’s independent division is one of their most lucrative departments. Jayne put Netflix in touch with the Canadian Media Fund to kickstart the conversation to invest in Canadian content. Her passion for outreach helped Netflix develop a strategy for introducing independent content to rural Canadian communities.

Jayne also worked to unearth a global underground online community, where she has written for Denny's restaurants, Better Mobile(clients include Coca-Cola and Microsoft), and various other global small to medium sized enterprises (SMEs). This is a network she leverages today, providing a massive competitive advantage for SMEs looking to go global during the pandemic and with an eye to our post-COVID world.
